by A reputable maritime organization, Oarsmanns Maritime Services Ltd, Bourbon, is seeking qualified and competent professionals to fill the roles of Master onboard Tugboat and Master onboard Fast Utility. The ideal candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and a solid understanding of maritime safety and navigation standards.
OMSL is also licensed under the Nigerian Maritime Labour Act 2007 by the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Maritime regulatory body NIMASA (Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency) to operate and provide Manning / Crewing services for vessels operating within and outside the Nigerian territorial waters.
1. Master Onboard Tugboat.
- Navigating and controlling the tugboat safely.
- Supervising the crew and assigning duties.
- Ensuring compliance with maritime laws and safety regulations.
- Coordinating towing, escort, berthing, and unberthing operations for ships.
- Maintaining communication with ports, pilots, and other vessels.
- Ensuring the vessel is seaworthy and properly maintained.
Requirements:
- Possess Master License Regulation 11/2
- Experience working around Bonny Island will be an added advantage
2. Master onboard Fast Utility.
- Safe navigation and operation of the vessel.
- Supervising and managing the crew.
- Ensuring the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Complying with maritime regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinating with offshore installations, ports, and other vessels.
- Maintaining voyage records and operational documentation.
- Responding to emergencies and ensuring the vessel’s readiness.
Requirements:
- Poses a minimum of River Master License
- Experience working around Bonny Island will be an added advantage
