The visa bulletin that should be released in this month of November 2025 has now been released and that is Visa Bulletin For December 2025 and am here to share with you the cut-off numbers that will apply in the DV 2026 program during the month of January 2026, as published.

Visa Bulletin For December 2025

The cut-off number for the Africa region for the month of December was 17,500 and for the month of January 2026, it has jumped to 35,000. The cut-off number for the Asia region for the month of December was 10,000 and for the month of January 2026, it has increased to 15,000. Over to the Europe region where the cut-off number for the month of December was 7,750 and for the month of January 2026, it has increased to 8,500.

For the North America region, the cut-off number for the month of December was 20 and that cut-off number is still maintained for the month of January 2026. For Oceania, the cut-off number for the month of December was 1,100 and for the month of January 2026, the cut-off number is still maintained at 1,100.

Finally, for the South America region, for the month of December, the cut-off number for that region was set at 1,850 and for the month of January 2026, the cut-off number for that region is still maintained at 1,850.

Now over to the exceptional countries and beginning again with the Africa region. The cut-off number for Algeria for the month of December was 17,250 and for the month of January 2026, it has increased to 20,000. For Egypt, the cut-off number for the month of December was 16,000 and for the month of January 2026, it is still maintained at 16,000. And finally, the only exceptional country from the Asia region, Nepal has its cut-off number for the month of December set at 6,000 and for the month of January, it is still maintained at 6,000.

Diversity Visa 2026 January Cut-off Numbers That Are Current For Interview

Now going back to the Africa region and saying the case numbers that are current for the month of January 2026, they are case numbers going from case number 1 to case number 35,000.

For the Asia region, the case numbers that are current for January 2026 are case numbers going from case number 1 to case number 15,000. For the Europe region, the case numbers that are current for January 2026 are case numbers from case number 1 to case number 8,500.

In the case of the North America region, the same case numbers remain current for January 2026 and they go from case number 1 to case number 20. For the Oceania region, the case numbers that have been current for October to December are the same case numbers that remain current for January 2026 and they go from case number 1 to case number 1,100.

And to the final region, the South America region, where the cutoff number has also been maintained. The case numbers that are current for January 2026 are case numbers from case number 1 to case number 1,850.

Now over to the exception countries and beginning once again in the Africa region. For Algeria, the case numbers that are current for January 2026 go from case number 1 to case number 20,000.

For Egypt, the case numbers that are current for October to December remain current for January 2026 and they go from case number 1 to case number 16,000. And finally, Nepal, the only exception country from the Asia region, had its cut-off number maintained at 6,000. The case numbers from Nepal that are current for January 2026 are the same case numbers that are current for October to December and they go from case number 1 to case number 6,000.

So for January 2026, the regions and exception countries that had their cut-off numbers increased are the Africa region, the Asia region, the Europe region, and Algeria. And those that had their cut-off numbers maintained are the North and South America regions, the Oceania region, Egypt, and Nepal.

So as we just saw, the cut-off number for the Africa region actually doubled from 17,500 to 35,000 which is a leap and which confirms that indeed high volumes of interviews have been planned for the Africa region during the month of January 2026. So those were your cut-off numbers that will apply during the month of January 2026, as part of the DV-2026 program.
