Starting exactly at noon (EDT) on Saturday, May 3, 2025, all successful applicants for DV-2026 lottery program can check their results at the DV Entrant Status Check portal. The DV-2026 registration period started October 2, 2024, and closed on November 7, 2024 12:00 PM EST.
HOW TO CHECK RESULTS FOR DV-2026 LOTTERY
1. Visit the Official DV Lottery Website: https://dvprogram.state.gov
2. Go to the Entrant Status Check page.
3. Enter Below Required Information:
i. Confirmation Number: Input the 16-character confirmation number you received when you submitted your DV Lottery entry, the Confirmation Number that you received on your DV Confirmation Page. You should have printed a copy of this page when you submitted your Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form. The Confirmation Number format is YYYYXXXXXXXXXXXX where YYYY is the program year, For example, 20261O0DZWY3DOV9.
ii. Enter your Last/Family Name: Provide your surname exactly as it appeared on your application. Your entry must match what you entered on your Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form.
iii. Year of Birth: In the Year of Birth field, enter your four-digit Year of Birth (for example, 1980). Do not include the month or day.
4. Complete the CAPTCHA Verification: You have to enter the characters displayed to verify you’re not a bot. In the Authentication field, enter the characters you see displayed. If you are having trouble reading the characters, do one of the following:
Click Speaker to hear an audio clip of the characters. Enter the characters in the Authentication field.
OR
Click Refresh to display a new code. Enter the characters in the Authentication field.
5. Submit and View Results: After entering the necessary information, click the “Submit” button to see whether you’ve been selected.
Viewing the Status of Your Entry
Once you have correctly completed the Enter Entrant Information page or the Verify Entrant page, the status of your Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form will be displayed. Different messages will display based on whether or not your Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form was selected for further processing, or if an interview appointment has been scheduled. Each message explains what else you can do based on your entry status.
Note: Click the Print button to print the text of the message.

- If your Electronic Diversity Visa Entry Form was selected for further processing, a letter will display with information on what to do next.
HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR DV-2026 MISSING CONFIRMATION NUMBER
1. Visit the Official DV Lottery Website: https://dvprogram.state.gov/ESC/
2. Go to the Entrant Status Check page.
3. Click on “Continue”.
4. Click on “Forgot Confirmation Number”.
This link is located below the “Confirmation Number” field. Provide Below Required Information:
i. Diversity Visa Program Year: Select 2026.
ii. Full Name: Enter your last/family name, first name, and middle name exactly as you did on your original DV entry. If you left any name field blank during your application, check the corresponding “No First Name” or “No Middle Name” box.
iii. Date of Birth: Input your birth date in the format MM/DD/YYYY.
iv. Email Address: Enter the same email address you used when submitting your DV Lottery application.
5. Complete the CAPTCHA Verification: You have to enter the characters displayed to verify you’re not a bot. In the Authentication field, enter the characters you see displayed. If you are having trouble reading the characters, do one of the following:

OR
Click Refresh to display a new code. Enter the characters in the Authentication field.
6. Submit the Form: Click the “Submit” button.
If all the information matches your original application, your confirmation number will be displayed.
Note: After winning the DV Lottery, follow these steps to make sure you get your immigrant visa (green card) without any problem and avoid being denied visas for reasons which can be avoided
