The Nigeria Immigration Service is governmental organization responsible for border security and migration management in Nigeria. It was established by the Act of Parliament in 1963. The Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for full-time appointment to fill existing vacancies in the Nigeria Immigration Service.
General Requirements:
- Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
- Have National Identity card.
- Applicants must be holders of requisite qualifications and certificates.
- Must be fit and present certificates of medical fitness from government recognized hospitals.
- Must be of good character and must not be convicted of any criminal offences.
- Be required to pass drug tests.
- Applicant must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years with exception to doctors and pharmacists who must not be more than 35 years.
- Applicants height must not be less than 1.65 for female and 0.87 for men.
Category A:
1. Assistant Superintendent Il, CONPASS 08
- Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution
CATEGORY B: INSPECTORATE CADRE
1. Assistant Inspector, CONPASS 06
- Applicants must be holders of NCE or National Diploma (ND) in any related field obtained from any recognized Polytechnic/Institution.
CATEGORY C ASSISTANT CADRE
1. Assistant 1l. CONPASS 04 (General Duty)
- Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or other Equivalent with a minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two sittings which should include English and Mathematics or holders of Trade Test Grade Il (Motor Driver Mechanics, Auto Electricians, etc).
2. Assistant lll, (General Duty, Drivers/Appliance Operators and Artisans) CONPASS O3
- Applicants must be holders of GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or other equivalents with a minimum of four (4) credits in not more than two sittings or holders of Trade Test Grade Il (Motor Driver Mechanics, Auto Electricians, etc)
CDCFIB Recruitment Application Portal New Date
The Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a new date for the commencement of Application from Interested parties into the Paramilitary agency. According a press release, as signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj Gen AM Jibril (rtd). The CDCFIB Temporarily Suspends Recruitment Application Portal.
The Statement reads Partly: “As part of effort to optimise the efficiency of its system, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and lmmigration Services Board (CDCFIB) announces that the portal dedicated for the recruitment into its paramilitary agencies has been temporarily suspended.”
“This development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process. The portal will be available again from Monday, July 21st, 2025.”
