The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (Jamb) has released the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) early on Friday, May 9, 2025. Candidates that seat for the exam can begin to check their Jamb 2025 UTME results.
Jamb Registrar Speaks on 2025 UTME Results
According Jamb registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the 2025 UTME saw 2,030,862 candidates register, of which 1,957,000 were verified to sit the exam, and 71,705 were absent. Mr Oloyede said that statistically, of the 2,030,862 registered UTME candidates, results for 1,911,551 were released. The registrar added that approximately 39,834 results remained pending due to ongoing scrutiny, with 1,426 under active investigation.
How to check your JAMB result
Candidates can check their JAMB UTME results through this methods:
SMS (Short Message Service) Method:
To check the 2025 UTME results via SMS method, candidates should send by text message βUTMERESULTβ as one word to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they had used to register during the registration process.
System (Online) Method:
Checking via system (online) is not currently available now. Also, result printing will be available later.
After you have seen your results, you need to visit your tertiary institution of choice, website for their cut-off marks for the course you want to study. If you meet the required score, start to prepare for post-UTME screening or admission process. If you score lower, you get have the option to change institution, course or wait for another year to write Jamb.

Some Candidates may NOT see their UTME results because of the following issues.

- Over 60,000 results are withheld due to exam misconduct allegations.
- These results will be reviewed, and if the candidates are cleared, their results will be released.
