There are five categories of scholarships: Undergraduate Scholarships (10,000 RMB per year), Graduate Scholarships (15,000 RMB per year), Doctorate Scholarships (20,000 RMB per year), General Scholar Scholarships (5,000 RMB for 6 months or 10,000 RMB per year), and Advanced Scholar Scholarships (10,000 RMB for 6 months or 20,000 RMB per year). The scholarship amount may also depend on agreements made by Hubei province with foreign governments.

- For the undergraduate scholarship, applicants must be under 25 years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- For the graduate scholarship, applicants must be under 30 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree.
- For the doctorate scholarship, applicants must be under 35 years old and hold a master’s degree.

How are Applicants Selected?

Each university’s team will review the applicants’ qualifications and announce the results for a week. The Ministry of Education of Hubei Province also performs an additional review and publishes the results for a week on their education information website.
