Are you a passionate and driven female looking to kick-start your career in Terminal Operations? Applications now open for West Africa Container Terminal Engineer Program 2026, a 12‑month initiative designed to empower young women from Onne and Ogu with hands‑on operational and technical skills.

West Africa Container Terminal (WACT) is one of the first greenfield terminals to be built in Nigeria under the Public-Private Partnership scheme by the Nigerian government in 2003. Located in the Oil and Gas Free Zone, Onne near Port Harcourt. WACT caters to the greater Port Harcourt area and Eastern Nigeria, including the Nigeria oil and gas Industry. Since its inception, WACT has played a pivotal role in successfully connecting East, North, West Central Nigeria and River State to the world.

They Specializes in Container Terminal, Ports & Terminal, Maritime & Shipping, Liner Shipping, Dry Cargo Handling, Refrigerated Cargo Handling, Out of Guage Cargo Handling, and On Dock Stuffing & De-stuffingwq1

WACT – APM Terminals Nigeria is committed to fostering diversity and empowering young women from Onne and Ogu, and we invite ambitious candidates to be part of our WACT EngineerHer Program.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This twelve (12) months training program aims to provide women with invaluable industry knowledge, work on real-world projects, and develop essential technical and professional skills needed to succeed in their chosen career.

Requirements:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any discipline
  • Not more than 26 years old
  • Must have an NYSC discharge certificate or exception certificate
  • Must be computer literate

Location: Onne, Rivers State.
