by The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is pleased to inform candidates who wrote 2025 WASSCE for School Candidates, that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025.
In a statement posted at WAEC official X handle on Monday, August 4, the examination body announced that candidates who sat for the exam can now access their results online.
“WAEC is pleased to inform candidates who sat WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025 that the result has officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025,” the statement read.
Candidates who wrote 2025 WASSCE for School Candidates have been advised to log on to the Council’s official result portal at http://waecdirect.org to check their results using their examination details and result checker pins. As reported, the exam was taken by 1,973,253 candidates from 23,554 approved secondary schools.

How to check the WAEC result online
Visit https://www.waecdirect.org/ and in the required column, enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number (This is your 7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number, eg, 4123456789).
- For examination year < 1999, enter your 8-digit WAEC Examination Number (This is your 5-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 19865001).
- Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2025
- Select the Type of Examination, i.e., SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT
- Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
- Submit and wait for the results window to come up
