University of Edinburgh Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship for African Students 2025-2026 Academic Session

The University of Edinburgh offers the prestigious Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship for talented students from eligible countries (especially in Africa and developing nations). The scholarship supports future leaders in medicine, public health, and biomedical sciences. Four scholarships are available for eligible postgraduate programmes offered by the University in the 2025-2026 academic session.

When is the Application Deadline?

The scholarship deadline is 23:59 (UK Time) on Thursday 29th May 2025.

What the Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship Covers:

  • 100% full tuition fees for the duration of your postgraduate program.
  • Additional programme costs where applicable.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have secured or intend to accept an offer for an eligible postgraduate programme.
  • Must be domiciled in one of the eligible countries listed below.
  • Must have, or expect to achieve, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
  • Priority given to applicants who haven’t studied at Master’s level before.
  • Must intend to return home after studies to contribute to local healthcare/education.

Personal Statement (Required – Max 3500 characters):

Note: Applicants will be informed of the outcome by late June or early July 2025.

Apply for admission to the University first and access MyEd portal.

After gaining access, submit your scholarship application via EUCLID through MyEd.
