Tech Series: Get MTN 7.5GB for 1000 Naira, Airtel 10GB + 100 Minutes Calls + 100 SMS for 3000 Naira

I want to show you some cheap data plans that you will start using on your phone. Ever since network providers (MTN, GLO and Airtel) increased their data plans, a whole lot of people have actually been complaining that data has been expensive. So, today I have something for you.

Just pay close attention. First of all, I will start with Airtel users. If you dial *312*10*1#, here you will get actually some cool data plans.

In this data plan, it will actually give you cheap data, it will also give you call minutes and also some SMS pass. This is actually very nice. It has the one that 3,000 Naira can actually get you 10GB with this code, and it will give you 100 minutes and at the same time 100 SMS. You get that 100 minutes of call.

Also, on this same plan, N5,000 can give you 20GB with 300 minutes of calls and also 100 SMS. Even also in this plan, 10,000 Naira can get you 50GB, 750 minutes of call and 100 SMS. Airtel users, you can use any of these ones.

For MTN Users, there is also something better for you

If you dial *312*88#, you can actually use 200 Naira to get 1GB plus an extra 500MB and this thing is valid for 30 days. That simply means it’s more like you’re using 200 Naira to get 1.5GB.

Let’s assume you do this thing like 5 times, you will use 1,000 Naira to get 5GB plus 2,500MB, which is more like 2.5GB. So, on total, you are using 1,000 Naira to get like 7.5GB of data. So, you can do this thing over and over again and you’ll have enough data that will serve you for a month.

Another one for MTN users, is this one we call the “MTN Smart Data”. So, you can access this using *121#. Although this one varies depending on your SIM specification and not all MTN SIM are eligible. They actually give SIM specification depending on how much you recharge on your phone. Like what will appear for another person might not be what will appear for you.

But when you dial *121#, the first option you will have is “TopDeal4ME”. On the “TopDeal4ME”, you can actually get 1.5GB for 300 Naira or 750MB for N500.

If you select the second option, which is “Data4ME”, you can actually get 5.4GB plus 2 minutes of call for 2,000 Naira or 14GB for 3,500 Naira or you can get 2.5GB of data for 900 Naira, which is also cool.

The fourth option there, i.e number four being “Smart Data”, you will have the one-day offer, 7 days offer, 14 weeks offer and 30-days offer. Go through all the option there and make your choice. Not all MTN SIM are eligible for this.

For example, there is one day offer, you can actually use 400 Naira to get 2GB of data. This is actually a very good data plan that you can check out and start using on your phone.

Cheap Data Code for 4GB at 1000 Naira

You can get 4GB monthly data at 1000 Naira by dialing this code on your phone, *312*65*3#. Please note, not all MTN SIM are eligible for this offer.

Tech Series: DATA PROTECTION

There are three states where Data exists

  1. Data at Rest:

These are Data that resides on hard drives, tapes, in the cloud, or on other storage media. This Data is prone to pilfering by insiders or external attackers who gain access to systems and are able to browse through the contents.

  1. Data in Motion:

This is Data that is in transit over a network. When Data travels on an untrusted network, is open to Eavesdropping attacks by anyone with access to those networks.

  1. Data in Processing:

This is Data that is actively in use by a computer system. This includes the data stored in memory while processing takes place. An attacker with control of the system may be able to read the contents of memory and steal sensitive information.

How to Safeguard Data:

  • Data Encryption:

Encryption technology uses mathematical algorithms to protect information from prying eyes, both while it is in transit over a network and while is resides on systems.

Encrypted data is unintelligible to anyone who does not have access to the appropriate decryption key, making it safe to store and transmit encrypted data over otherwise insecure means. We shall learn more on Cryptography and the public key infrastructure in later lessons!

  • Data Loss Prevention:

Data loss prevention (DLP) systems help organizations enforce information handling policies and procedures to prevent Data loss and theft.

They search systems for stores of sensitive information that might be unsecured and monitor network traffic for potential attempts to remove sensitive information from the organization. They can act quickly to block the transmission before damage is done and alert administrators to the attempted breach.

  • Data Minimization:

Data Minimization techniques seek to reduce risk by reducing the amount of sensitive information that we maintain on regular basis. The best way to achieve Data Minimization is to simply destroy data when it is no longer necessary to meet our original business purpose.

  • De-identification:

If we can’t completely remove Data from a dataset, we can often transform it into a format where the original sensitive information is de-identified. The de-identification process removes the ability to link data back to an individual, reducing its sensitivity.

  • Data Obfuscation:

This is an alternative to de-identifying data; by transforming it into a format where by the original information can’t be retrieved.

Tools used to achieve these goals include:

  • Hashing:

Uses a hash function to transform a value in our dataset to a corresponding has value. If we apply a strong hash function to a data element, we may replace the value in our file with the hashed value.

  • Tokenization:

Replaces sensitive values with a unique identifier using a lookup table. Example is replacing student ID with randomly generated 10-digit number etc. And can also convert those digits back to student IDs if we need to determine someone’s identity.

  • Masking

Masking partially redacts sensitive information by replacing some or all sensitive fields with blank characters. For example, replacing four digits credit card number with xxxx to render the card number unreadable.
