Sterling Bank MIVA University 2025 ₦2 Billion in Scholarships | No JAMB Needed

Did you know you can Nominate Yourself for about “₦2 Billion over 36 months in Scholarship?” Sterling Bank, in partnership with Miva Open University, is offering 600 full-tuition Undergraduate ₦2 Billion in Scholarships as part of the “Beyond Education” initiative. One good thing about this scholarship, you can nominate yourself as long as you meet the eligibility criteria for a Nominee.

About the Award

This is a scholarship program organized by Sterling Bank Ltd. in partnership with Miva Open University. The initiative commits about ₦2 Billion over 36 months to provide 600 full-tuition university scholarships to deserving Nigerians.

Winners are selected through a public voting process exclusive to Sterling Bank account holders. After the nomination period, verified nominees will be listed on their website under their state of residence. At the end of the voting period, the two Nominees with the highest number of verified votes in each state and the FCT will be declared the provisional winners for that tranche. The first 74 winners are chosen via public vote; 2 per state.

All scholarships are for degree programs at Miva Open University, an online institution fully licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

To be eligible, a nominee must be:

  • A Nigerian citizen.
  • Aged between sixteen (16) and thirty-five (35) years on the date of their nomination.
  • Able to satisfy the admission criteria for Miva Open University. Please note that JAMB/UTME scores are not required.
  • Sterling Bank account required to submit a nomination (not to be nominated)

Selection Process:

  • Nominate yourself or someone else via a valid Sterling account
  • Verification by the bank
  • Public Voting by Sterling account holders (2 winners per state + FCT per tranche)

Who Can Apply?

  • Nigerian citizens aged 16–35
  • Self-nominations allowed
  • Priority given to underserved women, with slots also reserved for men
